Over the past 25 years the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet (HealthInfoNet) has contributed to ‘closing the gap’ in health between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians by making knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health freely accessible to the health workforce and the general public.

Information is curated and sorted into various health topic portals, including a dedicated Environmental Health Portal, which contains information and resources specific to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Environmental Health. The content on the Portal helps to showcase the practice, research, policy, and community-led initiatives in the sector, allowing easy access to information for the environmental health workforce and anyone else working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

This presentation will provide an overview of the work of the HealthInfoNet and outline how our website and the Environmental Health Portal specifically, can support the environmental health workforce in their professional practice to keep people, their homes and their Country healthy. The presentation will include a demonstration on how to access content on the Environmental Health Portal.
